J Gurst Excellence in Chemistry

Scholarships for UWF students who meet enrollment requirements. Scholarships provide for one or both of the following awards:

1) A combination of academic merit and interest in research and STEM mentoring with the following assessment criteria: full-time chemistry students maintaining a 3.25 GPA or higher, who have completed Organic Chemistry I & II, have an interest in obtaining a graduate STEM degree, have demonstrated academic competencies in chemistry and/or research productivity, and participation in outreach/mentoring activities relative to the study of chemistry.

2) An annual student achievement award to an outstanding chemistry student based on academic performance, research productivity, or other accomplishments and interest in research and STEM mentoring.
