The Earl and Nancy Hutto Graduate Nursing Scholarship

Graduate nursing student(s) must provide the following for consideration of the scholarship: (1) Two letters of recommendation – one from a supervisor (either professional or academic) and one personal (not family). The letter must address the following questions: How long has the individual known the applicant and in what capacity? Describe the applicant’s character and work ethic. Any other pertinent information that should be known about the applicant. (2) Submit a current resume that includes all work history. (3) Complete a 300-500 word essay replying to the following: Why did you choose nursing as a career? Describe the impact the UWF graduate program and the scholarship would have on your career. The recipient must maintain a minimum 3.2-grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The top five finalists will be interviewed by the Dean of College of Health in consultation with the Chair of the School of Nursing and other relevant faculty members. The recipient must maintain a minimum of 3.2 GGPA on a 4.0 scale. Students will be notified via email if they have been selected for an interview.
